Why Oral Hygiene Is Important With Women

Women
are extraordinary and exciting but it is not as easy as you may
think. Life changes in a woman such puberty, pregnancy and menopause
may can be risky with gum disease. These life changes cause hormonal
instability as well as using contraceptives.

The
most common oral health conditions that may experience during certain
life changes in a woman especially during puberty is swollen,
sensitive and bleeding gums. Also herpes or sores is also usual
during puberty and menstruation. During pregnancy dental problems
are at its intense due to an increase in level of hormones and the
most common condition that may occur during this stage is pregnancy
gingivitis and it is being identified by red, swollen and bleeding
gums. Tooth erosion may also be experience as are reaction to the
acid caused by vomiting during a morning sickness. During menopause
dental problems such as swollen and red gums and dry mouth may be
experience. Women taking oral contraceptives more or less may
experience gingivitis for oral contraceptives contain estrogen and
progesterone that triggers the condition.

Thats
why women must give more importance on their oral
hygiene
to prevent or if not to lessen the symptoms of dental
problems.
