Weather Can Increase Headache

February 5th, 2008

Certain weather conditions have appeared to increase the risk of migraine, but
still people tend overestimate the influence of weather on their headache,
showed by a new research. Researchers wrote that patients are susceptible to
various and many weather variables and that more patients thought weather was a
trigger than was the case. Most studies have shown conflicting results and this
is not the first study conducted to investigate the effects of weather on
headache. For instance, one investigation found that people tended to get more
headaches on days with low barometric pressure, and stronger headaches on days
with many hours of snow-reflected sunlight.
