Use Of Laxatives Can Be Less Effective In Avoiding Constipation

December 5th, 2007

Laxatives are the most common form of treatment for constipation. But
it is a fact that they are not the best way to treat or avoid hard
bowel movement. This chemical-based remedy can stimulate the colon and
somehow help pass blocked stool but they may cause intolerance and
debilitate your body making it no longer able to have normal bowel
movements on its own. Laxatives may be useful in treating short term
problems with constipation, but they are not effective when trying to avoid constipation
totally. Preventing constipation, proper diet and lifestyle can be a
big help, but unfortunately, they cannot help avoid constipation
altogether.
