Tobacco and smoking can aggravate receding gums

Patients with serious gum disease should have a
regular examination especially with receding gums. To avoid tooth loss and
inflammation of gums this should be prevented. For an early detection and
diagnosis receding
gums and periodontal disease treatment
is more effective. As to prevent
receding gums people should observe good oral hygiene and exact program of
dental health care. One main contributor of periodontal disease is the use of
tobacco and smoking. Many dental experts are advising their patients to quit
smoking and stop using tobacco. This is one of the large elements that could
increase gum recession as well as the general health.
