The Importance Of Sleep In Children
In order to guarantee a healthy and proper development of your children, it is important that you make certain that they are getting enough sleep. However, as many parents are well aware of, some children do not have an affinity towards sleep. At times, they will fight strongly against lying down quietly in bed for the night. Letting your child stay up a little longer can sometimes make their anger go away, but often times it only leads to the child losing a few more hours of sleep that night. This, in turn, can harm your child’s health if it’s done on a regular basis. Infants need more sleep than any other age group of children. The importance of sleep in children should not be underrated. With growing bodies, sleep is good for their rapid and proper development. Between daily naps and nighttime sleep, an infant should average about 15 hours of sleep for every 24 hour period during their first six months of life.
