Relationship Between Fibromyalgia and Vitamin B1

January 19th, 2008

The first B vitamin that has been discovered is thiamine or vitamin B1.
Every cell in the human body needs vitamin B1 to make adenosine triphosphate,
or ATP, the body’s main energy-carrying molecule. Deficiency in vitamin B1 may
cause a bad effect like missing a link to successful treatment of fibromyalgia.
The symptoms of vitamin B1 deficiency and fibromyalgia are strikingly similar:
mood swings, frequent headaches, unusual fatigue, and muscle tenderness upon
pressure palpitation, muscular weakness, irritable bowel syndrome, and sleep
disturbances. So it is very important to include foods that are rich in vitamin
B1 in our daily menu.
