Human and other mammals experiencing menopause

It was studied that apes have also a menstrual cycle therefore
it is possible that they are also experiencing aging process or ending up their
fertility years. The common term for this condition is called menopause. This
is a question that no primatologists have ever been able to answer. Though no
one is ready to affirm that gorilla’s menopause, the Dallas Zoo is quiet sure
of their observations to gorillas, birds and bees. But the bases
for menopause
are still open to debate, even in humans, according to the
latest article. And according to Todd
Bowsher
, mammal curator at the Dallas Zoo’s Wilds of Africa exhibit and a
reproductive biologist, “More research is needed before scientists can
state concretely that gorillas go through menopause.”
