Common Symptoms Associated With Rosacea

December 9th, 2007

Although Rosacea is not as common as other skin ailments like acne or dry skin,
its prevalence has been growing in recent years. Some researchers
believe that the increased numbers of Rosacea cases are caused by ever
increasing percentages of toxins in the air, water, and food we ingest.
Some of the most common symptoms associated with Rosacea include:
sudden flushing of face, visible blood vessels, permanent red patches
of skin on cheeks and face, appearance of acne-like bumps and
inflammation of cheeks, nose area, or any other place on the face.

The Sun Is The Common Cause Of Dry Skin

December 9th, 2007

Dry skin
problems can be caused by a number of factors but the sun is one of the
most common causes of this condition. UVB radiation from the sun
penetrates into our skin and causes it to increase production of
melanin-the body’s natural defense against the sun. This will cause the
skin to darken, thicken, and dry out which is why you need total skin
care protection like a moisturizer made with a heavy sun block. Other
potential causes of dry skin include: excessive bathing or using harsh
soaps that remove too much oil, alcohol, toxins, caffeine or other
stimulants, low humidity and chlorinated water.

Natural Oils Are Very Helpful In Protecting The Skin

December 9th, 2007

Hormones are responsible for the production of the sebaceous glands.
These specialized glands are found in the pores of the skin and the
produce the natural oils that help lubricate and protect the skin. When
hormone levels are low during menopause, dry skin
care products are needed instead of acne remedies. When hormone
production spikes during puberty, pregnancy, or when using birth
control, the sebaceous glands tend to produce excess oil which may then
clog pores and trap in the bacteria that combine with the sebum to
produce the blemishes associated with acne.

Don’t Spend Money On Cheap Skin Care Knock Offs

December 9th, 2007

As you already know, not all skin care systems or dry skin care products
are the same. There actually are differences between the various
creams, lotions, moisturizers, ointments, and cleansers out there on
the market today. The skin care ingredients themselves are what really
separate the best products from the lower end knock-offs. While most of
the organic or all natural skin care ingredients are very unlikely to
cause any kind of side effects or adverse reaction, those made with
chemicals and inferior products will likely lead to problems-if not
immediately, then further on down the road.
