Eczema and Allergies – Is this the Cause?

One of the common traits of Eczema suffers is that they also suffer from allergies. Because of this, it would be a great idea to undergo an allergy test. An allergy test won’t magically reveal the cause of eczema, but it will reveal what kind of allergens produce an unwanted reaction in your body – knowing this could allow you to understand what causes your eczema to flare up.

One of the easiest things you can do is check your house for dust. Dust in the house is a very common allergen, so eczema sufferers who test positive for this should consider buying hypoallergenic bedding. This will reduce the amount of dust mites and other irritants. This may be the cause of eczema flare ups so reducing may go a long way to reducing your eczema flare ups.

After getting the results of your allergy test, you can use the results to exclude or reduce your exposure to some of the things that are common to your every day life. You may find that upon removing certain things you are exposed to, you can greatly reduce of even eliminate the eczema from you life.

If you think about what you are touching on a regular basis you may find a way to eliminate hand eczema. Maybe some detergents you are using are causing your hand eczema to flare up. The same thing may be happening with your feet or legs. If you have eczema on your feet or legs, you may want to investigate what laundry detergent you are using. Because your clothes are constantly touching your feet and legs, this may be what is making your eczema flare up.

Eczema can also be linked to stress. This is one thing that is common to most people and has been known to flare up other diseases in people. If you can reduce the stress in your life you may find the cause of your flare ups or at least what is triggering them. If you tend to get stressed easily try to find ways to de-stress on a daily basis. Make some time for yourself each day to simply relax. Try deep breathing and enjoying feeling relaxed. If you do you will quickly find out if reducing stress affects your eczema.

Finding the cure or at least some relief for eczema may be a simple as an elimination process.
