Swollen Gums And How They Occur, Prevent Gum Disease At Its Early Stage

Swollen
gums
are triggered by plaque and it is one of the earliest signs
of gingivitis and gum disease. Gingivitis does not only affects the
gums itself but the tissues and the bones below the gum line that
supports the teeth.

Poor
nutrition and hormones may be the culprit of having swollen gums that
if left untreated may lead into gingivitis. Preventing swollen gums
is the first step in preventing gingivitis and gum diseases. The best
way to prevent swollen gums is to prevent the bacteria that keeps on
growing in the mouth, brushing and flossing regularly is important in
this prevention process.

Combination
of proper oral hygiene and proper nutrition are the important ways in
preventing swollen gums, gingivitis and gum disease.
