Gingivitis
as the most common and mildest form of gum disease and a lot of
people are suffering from this condition. The culprit for this
condition is bacteria feeds on plaque and in the long run they can
penetrate through the gum line causing irritation leading to
gingivitis.

though gingivitis is a mild form of gum disease it can progress and
lead into a more severe condition. The earliest stage of gingivitis
is gum sensitivity, in this stage gums hurt especially when eating or
brushing. The next stages are most common such as bleeding of gums
when brushing and flossing and it will be followed by severe pain
even brushing or flossing is not included. Gums becomes inf lammed
and soft but the most severe and the last stage is the receding of
gums and if left untreated it will lead to tooth loss.

the major culprit is the bacteria, to prevent gingivitis you need to
stop the progression of bacteria in your mouth thus proper oral
health hygiene is really important and must be given much attention.
Regular brushing and flossing will keep bacteria away in your mouth.
Using oral health care products such as mouthwash will aid in
preventing early signs and symptoms of gingivitis but it is important
that you use products that are natural and does not contain harsh
ingredients that can further irritate gums. Seeing your dentist is
also necessary for early signs of gum disease such as gingivitis may
be detected and prevented at its early stage.
