Smoking And Tobacco Use Increases Risks Of Receding Gums

September 24th, 2008

Dental check-ups are a necessity when it comes to preventing gum disease
or tooth loss. Through regular dental consultations, earlier symptoms
of gum disease such as receding gums can be addressed and stopped to
prevent the progression of the disease. for most people, preventing
receding gums and future gum disease can come through at-home
prevention such as proper oral hygiene and using effective and safe
dental products. Habits such as smoking or tobacco use can complicate
your receding gums treatment and slow down its effectiveness. Avoiding
tooth loss and gums that recedes needs good prevention, early diagnosis
and aggressive and effective treatments.
