Simple Early Prevention Of Periodontal Disease, Know If Your At Risk

Periodontal
disease
begins from a simple inflammation of your gums to a more
severe disease that can damage the tissues and bone that support the
teeth and may cause tooth loss. Bacteria is the major culprit of
periodontal diseases. They lie in any and each areas of the mouth,
some of the bacteria may not be removed by brushing and flossing
alone and it is needed to be removed through professional cleaning
especially the at the hard to reach areas.

Periodontal
disease are common to people at their 30’s and 40’s, teenagers rarely
develops periodontitis but men are more likely have it than women
base on studies. But gum disease develops when bacteria is being
allowed to develop in the mouth.

There
are several risk factors in having periodontitis or gum disease.
Smoking which is the most common risk factor, and it can lower the
chances of success of some treatments. For women the most common is
hormonal changes, it pertains to puberty, menstruation, pregnancy and
menopausal stages and during this stage there is an increase in
hormonal level and gum diseases are susceptible. Medical conditions
and illness such as diabetes, cancer and AIDS and their treatments
also affects the gum’s health. When stressed out it is difficult for
the body to fight infection such as periodontal disease.

Proper
and good oral hygiene is the most simple and easiest way to prevent
from periodontal or gum diseases. Make sure to brush and floss daily
and combining oral health products that will aid in preventing
bacteria build up.
