Severe Periodontal Disease Develops Fast Due To The Spread Of Bacteria Below Gum Line

December 18th, 2007

Tartar is that yellowish crust that the dentist scrapes away and
removes during typical teeth cleaning procedures. The bacteria breed
faster behind tartar and dental health products cannot remove this
hardened layer and that is why a cleaning is needed. The longer the
tartar is left on the teeth, the more likely it is that severe periodontal disease
will develop if the bacteria spread below the gum line and begin
attacking the tissue that actually helps support your teeth and hold
them in place.
