Receding Gums’ Risk Factors And Causes

Receding
gums
can be a result of a gum disease or an imbalance structure
of the teeth or trauma. But the major culprit to this condition is
plaque and bacteria on it releases toxic that damages the gum
tissues.

Imbalanced
structure of the teeth can cause trauma to the bones and gums.
Exposure of the roots of the gums happen when gums recede thus
sensitivity to hot and cold are experienced. Excessive grinding of
teeth also causes gums to recede also.

Untreated
receding gums can lead to periodontitis or worse is tooth loss.

Prevent
receding gums with proper oral health care hygiene and correcting bad
oral health habits such as grinding and imbalanced structure of your
teeth. Ask your dentist for these corrective measures.
