Preventing Gum Disease Through Thorough Flossing

July 24th, 2008

Good dental health always starts at home. Brushing and flossing after
every meal should be ritually practiced to avoid accumulation of plaque
and bacteria that can lead to gum disease
and other dental threats. The fight against gum disease does not end in
regular brushing alone, since brushing can't reach the areas in-between
teeth. Flossing is essential if preventing gum disease since it helps
removes the leftover particles that regular brushing can't reach.
Simple habits such as flossing and brushing are the most effective
at-home gum disease treatments that you can do. Fortify your battle
against gum disease by regularly visiting your dentist to see and treat
earlier signs of gum disease and understand more about proper oral
health care.
