Prevent The Periodontal Disease And Heart Disease Risks

February 14th, 2008

Researchers have found that people with periodontal disease are nearly
twice as likely to suffer from heart disease as those without
periodontal disease. Periodontal disease, heart disease
- both are serious diseases that afflicts many people. Periodontal
disease is in itself uncomfortable and can lead to even worse mouth
conditions such as mouth ulcers, the loss of teeth, and even heart
disease. Good oral hygiene that fights bacteria is the best prevention
against periodontal disease and heart disease. You can help prevent
periodontal disease and possibly heart disease by keeping the plaque
and bacterial populations in your mouth low.
