Oral health play an integral part
in maintaining a healthy body. There are many diseases and conditions
that can affect oral health, one of them being periodontal disease or
simply gum disease. The word “periodontal” literally implies to “around

can be harder to remove through brushing alone. Plaque accumulation can
cause tartar and become more noxious. Neglected plaque and tartar
formation can cause gum irritation and gingivitis, the mildest form of
gum disease. This can be prevented with thorough oral hygiene and
regular dental check-ups. Having professional dental cleaning can
secure teeth and gum health.

Gingivitis can quickly progress to advanced stages of gum disease such as periodontitis
if it is left untreated. These advanced gum disease stages may
ultimately lead to tooth loss and health complications due to the
infections. Gum disease should not be take lightly, as it can greatly
affect the health of your dentition, gums and overall health.
