Plaque Psoriasis Is The Most Common Form Of Psoriasis

January 5th, 2008

The most common form of psoriasis is plaque psoriasis.
It affects 80% of psoriasis patients and consists of red, scaly lesions
that can appear on any area of the body. The term seborrhea dermatitis
refers to the appearance of plaque psoriasis on the scalp. In other
words, the common name for this one is dandruff. Another form of
dermatitis psoriasis is inverse psoriasis. When plaque psoriasis
appears in the bends of the body as in the elbows, knees, and possibly
where the arm meets the shoulder, the correct term is inverse
psoriasis. One of the most damaging forms of psoriasis is arthritis
psoriasis rheumatoid. This one includes all of the fun of traditional
psoriasis with the additional kick of arthritis symptoms. Without
proper treatment, the joints can be permanently damaged.
