Periodontal Treatments To Make Gums Look Coral Pink

March 4th, 2008

Healthy and normal gums appear to be coral pink. When the gums are
affected by periodontal disease it changes in color from coral pink to
a more reddish color. And it becomes swollen, and tender. When you
notice that your gums recedes and tries to separate from the teeth,
gums bleed and tend to become red and bad breath will not go away,
eventually tooth loss can happen, these are the warning signs of
periodontal disease. Signs can become obvious in the late and advanced
stage of the disease. That is why many are not aware that they are
already attacked by the disease. Since the cause of the disease is the
bacteria that dwells in the mouth, it is important to keep the mouth
well salivated. This can help make the bacteria in remain in minimum.
As well as proper oral hygiene, proper diet, regular dental check up
and quitting smoking and tobacco use are advised. The use of a good
oral care or periodontal treatments are important because it can help banish bad bacteria away from the mouth.
