Oral Hygiene for Youngsters

February 1st, 2008

Oral hygiene habits can never be too late to begin. To help care for
children’s teeth and gums and starts the youngster toward a lifelong path of good dental health, oral hygiene at an
early age is of the essence. As soon as the first tooth erupts at 6 to 8 months
old, it is important to begin cleaning the child’s teeth. Start using a
soft children’s toothbrush twice a day when the teeth appear. On your child’s
first birthday, start regular dental visits to be able to take care of their
teeth and gums. Try to brush teeth at least twice daily and floss at least once
in a day.
