Keep away from your bad habits to avoid gum infection

September 23rd, 2008

Serious dental condition
like periodontal
disease
is occurring because of negligence of having symptoms of gum
disease. Oral hygiene plays a vital role in our dental health. Dental care
should be properly done to avoid and prevent gum infection. It is very
important to clean food particles left inside the mouth because this can
produce toxins and acids that can damage teeth and gums. With food particles
plaques are also formed and if it is excessively accumulated it can irritate
the gums causing swollen and bleeding gums. On the other hand, proper oral
hygiene which includes brushing and flossing may not be enough to maintain
healthy gums and teeth except that bad habits are stop like smoking, drinking
too much alcohol, and poor nutrition.
