Infection in our gum called periodontal disease

July 16th, 2008

Periodontal disease is an infection on our gums and tissues that
holds our teeth in place. This is commonly caused by a typical poor tooth
brushing and flossing habit that allows plaque to buildup. In severe cases,
periodontal disease can lead to a much more serious dental health such as
bleeding gums, sore, painful chewing problem, and even tooth loss. One of the
most significant causes of this gum disease is by smoking. People who are
smoking are in a high risk in developing this kind of gum disease. Periodontal disease can be treated naturally if spotted in an early stage. But in severe
cases, treatment can range from professional deep cleaning and medications to
surgery.
