How a simple plaque affect your oral health

September 24th, 2008

A poor oral hygiene can promote tartar build up that can
lead to plaque. A simple plaque can cause inflammation of the gums called
periodontal disease. Periodontal disease is also known as gum disease. For mild
cases of periodontal disease, it is commonly painless and called gingivitis. When
a simple case of gingivitis is left untreated, it will progress into
periodontitis, in this stage, you are now suffering from severe cases of gum
disease that causes falling out of your teeth. A simple but proper oral hygiene
that includes regular tooth brushing and regular visit to professional dentist
is very effective in preventing periodontal disease from occurring or other forms of gum disease.
