Gum Disease Problems Are Surprisingly Caused By Poor Dietary Habits

January 11th, 2008

While poor dietary habits and perhaps even other medical conditions such as diabetes may be the causes of gum disease problems
in your mouth, the problem is more likely to be dehydration. There are
a number of factors such as smoking and drinking which may cause your
mouth to become dry and thus decrease your chances for preventing gum
disease. These factors include: using medication such as
antidepressants or high blood pressure medication, excessive exercise
regimen, consumption of caffeinated products, use of laxatives, dietary
supplements, or other products using stimulants as primary active
ingredients and consumption of alcohol.
