December 6th, 2007

Aside from simple hemorrhoids, hernia, and laxative dependence,
constipation in the elderly can be more severe than ever. It can be
simple and easy to prevent constipation
when the bearer will just follow on the easy steps on preventing it.
The most effective means in treating constipation is “fiber” as it
helps soften the stool and also help the stool pass through the
gastrointestinal tract easier. Fruits, vegetables, and grains are foods
rich in fiber. The elderly can also keep themselves away from
constipation by not getting themselves dehydrate; it is advisable to
drink plenty of water and liquids from fruit and vegetables juice as
well as having enough exercise.
