Extreme impact of gum infection

September 24th, 2008

To control the progression
of periodontal disease it is necessary to have an immediate treatment. The
primary factor that causes gum
infection
and disease is dental plaque. Plaque formed because of poor oral
hygiene. Food particles that are left on the teeth’s surface can form plaque
and if it is not cleaned at all can become hardened forming into tartar. Tartar
cannot be cleaned by brushing and flossing only. It needs dental cleaning by
dental expert because they have specialized tool to remove tartar. When
bleeding and swelling of gums persists, gum tissues and bones were affected.
This dental health condition must not leave untreated because the drastic
effect of the infections is reduced.
