Exercise oral hygiene at an early age

May 20th, 2008

It is a healthy practice to teach kids oral hygiene. Helping children
to take care of their teeth and gums early
will bring this habit as they
grow attaining good dental health and oral hygiene. Begin to clean the teeth as
soon as the first tooth erupts with soft baby’s toothbrush for about twice a
day. As soon as all baby teeth are visible regular brushing of teeth would be
twice daily and floss at least once a day. A regular schedule to visit family
dentist should be followed. Selecting toothpaste is also necessary for
children, limiting the amount to use because kids tend to swallow most of the
toothpaste. To maintain healthy teeth children should avoid eating sweets and
sticky foods. Diet really does a very big role in the taking care of teeth.
