Effects of Drug interactions

January 19th, 2008

When two or more medicinesare prescribed by a doctor or
over-the-counter drugs, drug reactions can happen since the ingredients of the
drugs clash may have an opposite interaction. The patient may suffer a serious
potential result. To reduce the risk try
to follow these guidelines: Carefully read the labels, and try to understand
ingredients in each drug along with any possible side-effects they can cause.
If you do not understand the label, ask some questions to your doctor or
pharmacist. Be sure that you let them know if you are taking other drugs,
herbal products or vitamins or mineral supplement. Unless you are told to do
so, do not mix pills or break capsules into food or drink. Never take any
medication with alcohol.
