Dry Skin Problems? Follow Tips To Make It Moist

December 6th, 2007

Dry skin has been suffered occasionally by many people. The skin
becomes flaky, itchy and unsightly when there’s not enough water in the
skin’s top layer. The layer of the skin can become cracked, rough,
scaly and in extreme cases can pave way to the development of chronic
dermatitis and eczema.

There are various skin moisture robbers and this includes humidity,
cold, dry air, common in many areas especially in the months of winter,
whereby it can suck water from the skin making the skin dry.

Moisture from the skin can be taken out by water. For a long period of
time, bathing or over bathing causes a repeated wetting and drying of
the tissue that holds the outer layer of the skin together and
overtime, making it less capable of water retention.

The following tips are made to keep the skin moisture locked in keeping the skin healthy and youthful:

- Always keep a lotion or cream on the skin all day, moisturize all throughout the day.

- Cool, shower or bath should be taken shortly.

- Try to use soap sparingly.

- Avoid scrubbing the skin and do not be abrasive.

- Avoid detergents, cleansers and solvents.

- Cool it off, keep temperature a few degrees lower to keep the skin moist.

- Too much alcohol must be avoided.

Battling dry skin
can be effective when you consider an all natural skin care product
that can keep the skin moist all day and can protect it safely from
free radical damage like Skin So Silky.
