Did You Know That Bad Breath Fresheners Does Not Work As It Should Be?

Bad breath one of the
common oral health issues that everyone is looking for an effective cure. And
breathe fresheners’ promises to stop bad breath, but are they really effective
as what they claim to be?

There are several reasons why bad breath occurs. And taking bad breath
fresheners, candies or mints are not the cure. Their effects are only
temporary; they just masked the bad odor that comes from the mouth. And they also
worsen the condition for most of bad breath freshening products contain sugar.
And sugar feeds bacteria and giving it an access to bacteria to live and grow
in the mouth.

One way to treat bad breath is to identify the underlying cause of the
condition. Xerostamia or commonly known as dry mouth is the most common cause
of it, having enough amount of saliva will prevent the mouth from drying; in
addition dehydration also causes dry mouth. It is important to take a lot of
water to prevent it and having a diet that includes
high-fat foods, meat, sugar, exotic
spices, and dairy products may also cause bad breath avoiding them is one way
of preventing the condition from occurring. A bad habit such as taking alcohol
and smoking also triggers the condition and it is better to eliminate them or
not avoid them as they may be the cause of a more serious dental condition.

Oral health hygiene is one
of the most common reasons of bad breath that is why it is so important that
you pay attention in brushing and flossing your teeth regularly to prevent
bacteria build up which is the major culprit of bad breath. Using natural oral
health care products also can is one way of preventing bacteria build up.

Untreated bad breath can
lead into gum disease or Periodontitis. Prevent bad breath now and be free from
Periodontitis.
