Coping With Chronic Constipation Caused By Several Factors

January 11th, 2008

Chronic
constipation
is often the result of a chronically poor diet, lack
of exercise, and inadequate water intake. Thus, long-term
constipation cure almost always includes adding fiber to your diet,
increasing fluid intake, and reducing intake of foods that are known
to cause constipation. Foods to eat for chronic constipation include
fruits and vegetables that are rich in fiber like cereals, prunes,
plums, grapes, apricots, spinach, turnip greens, and corn are all
foods high in fiber and sure to be a great addition to any diet aimed
at curbing chronic constipation and providing long-term relief. Just
be sure to increase fluid intake to at least half ounce of water for
every pound of body weight for more fluids means softer stool.
