March 13th, 2008

Not known to everybody, a silent but effective destroyer of oral health
is the so-called periodontal disease, or gum disease. There are several
periodontal diseases and the one that most people are familiar with is
gingivitis. Usually starts from a rarely a painful condition, the
symptoms of gingivitis include inflamed and red gums that may bleed
rather easily when touched. Most people with gingivitis notice this
form of periodontal disease when they are brushing their teeth or
eating something hard like an apple. However, at more advanced stages
such as chronic periodontitis,
the condition becomes a serious health risk. Unless this is controlled
by superior oral hygiene as the best treatment, the condition will go
through worst.
