Signs of gingivitis include mouth sores, swollen bright red appearance
to gums, tender gums, extreme bad breath, and gums that bleed easily.
Gingivitis affects the tissues that surround and support your teeth and
can cause mouth ulcers and long term tooth damage. The good news is
that with superior oral hygiene, gingivitis can be almost entirely
avoided. By keeping the bacteria under control, you reduce plaque and
thus bleeding gums. Causes of bleeding gums
in an immediate sense is plaque. Good oral hygiene is the best way to
reduce plaque buildup and avoid bleeding gums. If you can eliminate the
bacteria in plaque you can prevent further infection in your gums.
